A new Scaffolding Industry Safety Standard has been developed between the NSW Government and SafeWork NSW as a result of the scaffold collapse in 2019 resulting in the death of one worker and life changing injuries to another.

The standard sets out practical management tools for all parties involved in the design and installation of scaffolding to help ensure best practice for the scaffolding sector as well as safer outcomes for all workers.
